The trim on a new car is a two-year decision. The paint is a ten-year one. It will be photographed, valeted, judged in parking lots, and — if you're lucky and careful — repainted only once.
Pick the color you'd want to see coming toward you in a rearview mirror. Almost every other consideration is downstream of that.
